Cross-Sell Products

The ability to cross-sell and up-sell products is at the heart of what can make an e-commerce store successful. This wasn’t any different at Google Store.

In 2015, Rana took a hard look at the product offering and competitive environment and realized that Google Store needed certain cross-sell products to make the purchase of Pixel phones easier for Google Store users. She identified the need for financing, warranty, and trade-in products and worked with Product and Business Development teams to develop these Google Store product initiatives. Working with external partners like Synchrony Financial and Assurant, she launched these products alongside the Pixel launches in 2016, 2017, 2018, so that they could be announced at the launch events.

Results: In 2016, Pixel sales were 20% higher than anticipated due to a 33% adoption of the financing product.
