Quiksilver

Rana cut her teeth on branding within the fashion industry.  She learned that a brand wasn't a label or logo. She learned that a brand is a feeling, an aesthetic, a relationship that it has with its customers, such that customers can depend upon a brand delivering what they need, year after year.

As a designer, she conducted customer and trend analysis to determine what their needs and wants would be for the coming year. She worked with her sales team and major department store reps to learn which items they couldn’t sell and why, and refined designs in response. She led development from initial sketches, textile design, sampling, to production, and working with both domestic and overseas factories. Within the Quiksilver brand, she designed and developed swim and sportswear lines for women, juniors, and children.
